Ana is a local bartender over at Fishbones in Oak Bluffs, she has been bartending since 2014. Even in her time off from bartending she will always come in and order food from the restaurant, she highly recommends the fish tacos.
This Week on MV: Where are you initially from?
Ana: I grew up here on island and I still come home for the summers for work.
TW: What’s it like working at Fishbones?
Ana: It’s really fun, me and a few friends work here and it’s awesome to work on the harbor. You get to see the pirate ship go out, that’s really sweet.
TW: What initially got you into bartending?
Ana: I started bartending when I moved to Boston in 2014.
TW: What’s your favorite drink to make for the customers?
Ana: At Fishbones we have the fun frozen drinks. Many of our regular customers always get our frozen mojito’s, they’re really good and perfect for a summer day.
TW: When would you say is the busiest time of day?
Ana: Normally it’s pretty busy all the time, especially when the boats come in and on the weekends.
TW: Now what makes Fishbones truly different in your opinion?
Ana: Well, we have seats for whatever you want to do; if you want to sit down and eat we have an area for that, if you just want to drink then you can sit in the bar scene, or if you are with your pet then you can sit in our little outdoor area and be with them.
