Bite on the Go restaurant, Beach Road in Vineyard Haven

Grab a Bite and a Great Deal at Bite on the Go

0
There is a lot to a restaurant name and for Bite on the Go it describes perfectly what this Brazilian/American restaurant does best. It is a great place to go for a relaxed meal with the family and friends or for a quick “Bite on the Go” for the busy vacationer or local. With a menu diverse enough to accommodate every craving, customers can select their meal from a revolving buffet that includes both Brazilian and American favorites, eating in the spacious dining area or, conveniently, taking a container of food to go.

Rockin’ Food at Rocco’s

0
Rocco’s was an accidental island fixture. The owners planned on opening a pizza shop in Florida but found that real estate was more viable on the Vineyard. Owner Chris Pantalone says, “We opened on December 13th during a blizzard and we have been busy ever since.” It is easy to understand the appeal of Rocco’s. The atmosphere is charming, with seating both outside and indoors with views of the water, the prices are extremely reasonable for entrées like pastas and sandwiches, and the thin crust, freshly baked pizzas simply cannot be beat.

Stand Up! Night Paddle Boarding at Island Spirit Kayak

LED Paddle Boarding is the newest attraction at Island Spirit Kayak. The LED lights allow you to see fish, scallops and all the sea life below you. Paddle Boarding is also so simple, so you don’t have to work on any skills before you come out and give it a try. You do use muscles in your feet that you never knew you had, but it’s a good feeling. You’re having so much fun, so it doesn't feel like a workout.

Little Stirs on the Island of Silence: Exploring the Sounds of Chappaquiddick

0
There are a thousand noises that echo across the Vineyard, but none are more rare than the sound of silence. The neon buzz of Oak Bluffs and the high end clamor of Edgartown are indeed an experience, but sometimes what a person needs is a little peace and quiet. On the island of Chappaquiddick, fondly nicknamed ‘Chappy’ by island residents, peace and quiet muffle the weary island traveler’s footsteps.
