West Tisbury Farmer’s Market

Enjoy local produce, flowers and more. A perennial favorite for visitors and residents alike. The combination of the brightly colored floral bouquets, the scent of freshly harvested produce, the savory edibles offered and Saturdays’ musical fare all combine to truly create a feast for the senses. Bring your children to visit the alpacas and enjoy the live fiddle music. The 2012 season is the 38th year of the West Tisbury Farmers Market on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. They maintain high standards ensuring that all goods sold at the market are made by the vendors and all veggies, fruits and flowers are all island grown. Along side your favorite marketers you’ll meet new vendors, each with their own marvelous offerings.

.Vineyard Artisans Annual Summer Festival

A Vineyard Summer tradition and the only weekly juried art show where the public can meet over 60 artisans and buy directly from them. Many demonstrations, weaving, fine furniture, pottery, stained glass, oil paintings, pastels, mixed media, sculpture, wampum jewelry, quilts, clothing, sea glass windows, handmade books and much more. Shows open Memorial Day Weekend and continue though the Fall with two very special shows at the Agricultural Hall. Playground for kids and of course great food. Murdick’s Run the Chop Challenge 5 Mile Road Race

Murdick’s Run the Chop Challenge is on July 4th every year and has been in existence for 15 years. Over that time the 5-mile road race has generated over $60,000 for the betterment of Vineyard kids. Through the support of our volunteers, the community of Vineyard Haven, and of course, the runners, it all seems to work. A Big Thank you!

Bring the family, spread out your blanket and relax on the lawn and enjoy a great July 4th meal while waiting for the parade to start. Free marching band concerts in the Old Whaling Church before and after the parade are fun for the whole family. Food is sold and served a la carte and tickets are not needed to attend. It’s a great place to have a casual dinner after the parade and before the fireworks.

Departs Edgartown school, following Peases’ Point Way downtown where it loops around joining Main Street at North Water Street. It then follows Main Street out of town returning to its starting point. Starts at 5 pm

Founded in Vancouver in 2005 by current Artistic Director, Joshua Beamish, MOVETHECOMPANY quickly emerged as one of Western Canada’s most prolific dance companies. The company now has a second home in New York City and has performed throughout the globe. MOVETHECOMPANY will take up residency at Vineyard Arts Project for the first time this summer.
